Salvation

Simply put, salvation is the process, the fact, and the experience of being rescued from a life lived in the present and throughout eternity where you belong to and are under the authority of satan.  Salvation is the process, the fact, and the experience of being rescued from that life and are rescued to a new life where you belong to and are under the authority of Jesus Christ.  Salvation enables you to live in the present and throughout eternity with God as your Father, Jesus as your Lord, and the Holy Spirit as your teacher and guide.

You see, God made man in His image, and gave man total authority over this world and over this world system.  Through the disobedience of one man, Adam, the authority God had delegated to man was given to satan.  This caused a separation between God and man.  God does not fellowship or commune with satan or sin.  Once satan received authority to operate in the world and this world system, satan introduced evil, including sin, disease, poverty, and all manner of wickedness.  Every person born after Adam is born in sin, with a sin consciousness, and with a mind predisposed to accept and receive unrighteousness, and to act in an unrighteous manner.

Because of His enduring love for man, God sent Jesus, his son, to restore man to his rightful place and position with God.  Jesus, who is God, emptied Himself of His deity, left heaven, came to earth, and lived as a man under God the Father's authority on this earth.  He did so and walked in complete obedience to God the Father.  He never transgressed a single law of God. He never fell prey to a single satanic suggestion or attack.  Jesus gave Himself willingly to be the sacrifice for everyone born after Adam.   He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, taking on Himself the punishment that would otherwise befall mankind (the wages of sin is death).  Jesus died in our place.  Jesus not only died, but, after three days and nights, He was raised up from the dead by the grace and power of Almighty God.  The Holy Spirit raised Jesus up from the dead and presented Him alive, before God.  Jesus presented His own blood, and poured it upon the altar of God, to forever expunge and remit the sins of mankind.  This paved the way for man to be reconciled and restored to his rightful position and fellowship with God.

In His life on this earth, Jesus demonstrated that it is possible, through a close relationship with God, to overcome any satanic suggestion or attack.  Jesus demonstrated the superiority of God over the works and operations of the devil.  He demonstrated that all who have a close relationship with God could receive authority delegated by God to overcome any satanic plot, device, or scheme.  In His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus further demonstrated that God is all-powerful and is more powerful than satan.  Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers that were against all of mankind and made an open, public display and spectacle of them.  Jesus triumphed over them all!

Jesus cancelled and wiped out all the judgments and pronouncements that were in force against us as a result of our sin, and His blood completely cleansed us inside and out.  This He did as a gift and offering to mankind.  This He did out of complete love.

The salvation Jesus secured for everyone is available to everyone with breath in his or her body.  However, it is a gift that must be received to be enjoyed (Rom. 3:24; Eph. 2:8).  You receive salvation by the grace of God, when you exercise faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. (Rom. 3:22-24; Eph. 2:8-9).  You must actively receive the free gift of salvation by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.  (Rom. 10:9-10). When you receive salvation, Christ comes to live on the inside of you (Gal. 2:16-21).  You become transformed through the operation of the Holy Spirit (2 Thess. 2:13; 1 Pet. 1:2).  Through this experience, you are actually made righteous and begin to live for God (Gal. 2:19-21).

How Should I Pray to Receive Jesus as My Lord and Savior?
If you have never received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to take that vital step right now.  Your salvation is very important to God – so much so that He gave His only Son to die for your sins (John 3:16-18).  God isn't willing that any should perish, and that includes you (2 Pet. 3:9).  So please pray this prayer aloud from your heart:

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for sending Jesus into the world.

I realize that I need a Savior.

Your Word says, "…whosoever shall call on the

name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21).

I am calling on You, Jesus, to

come into my heart

and be Lord over my life.

According to Your Word in Romans 10:9-10,

I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord,

and I believe with my heart

that God raised Him from the dead.

Therefore, I am saved,

and I thank you for giving me eternal life.

If you have just made Jesus your Lord and Savior, please find a good church that will teach you the Word of God.  We also invite you to contact us.  We would love to encourage you in your new walk with the miracle-working Jesus!
