Rev. Janice Davis Steele • General
Have you been experiencing losses lately? Have you lost confidence, respect, joy, your reputation? If so, you should know that there is a very real thief - a very real instrumentality -- operating behind the circumstances. God has given us instructions from His Word on how to identify the real thief - the one robbing us of our God-given blessings -- and receive restoration. Find out more in this exciting study, and begin to put a stop to the barrage of thefts against you and yours.

Catch the True Thief!

Have you been experiencing losses lately?  Have you and your spouse been robbed of the love you once shared?  Have you lost confidence?  Has your reputation recently suffered?  Have you lost respect?  Have you lost touch with your children or relatives?  Have you been robbed of a smile?  Have you lost your job?  Are you in danger of losing your home?  Have you lost the level of health you once enjoyed?  Have your investments dwindled?  Have you lost sight of your God-given dreams and visions?  Have your dreams turned to nightmares?

If you can relate to one or more of the scenarios presented above, if you can identify with these or similar conditions, then it is high time that you put a stop to the barrage of robberies that may have hit you, your home, or those that you care about.

You may be thinking, "Me?  How can I put a stop to these robberies?"  The Lord has given us instructions from His Word on how to catch the thief and receive restoration.  Those instructions are summarized here, just for you.  Apply them and put a stop to the rampant thievery.

1.       Identify the True Thief

In order to stop the crime wave, you must first identify the true thief behind these robberies.  Never forget that there is a very real instrumentality operating behind the circumstances.  In order to identify the true thief, you must look behind the circumstances to identify the true instrumentality working in the background to influence outcomes.  For example, your spouse is not to blame.  Your spouse is not the culprit.  Your boss is not the culprit.  Your investment fund manager is not the culprit.  Your pastor is not the culprit.  Your children are not the culprits.  The person spreading lies about you is not the culprit.  No, no, no!

If you continuously resort to blaming individuals and circumstances you will never find the true culprit and the true culprit will continue to ransack and plunder you at will.  You must appreciate that individuals are pawns used by the real instrumentality to facilitate thievery.  Though individuals are responsible for their actions, they are go-betweens, intermediaries, lackeys, used by the real instrumentality operating behind the scenes to plunder and fleece you of your God-given benefits and blessings.

In a similar manner, the circumstances reflect the workings of the real instrumentality.  Blaming the circumstances is futile, usually only makes matters worse and allows the shakedown and oppression to continue.  Rather than blame individuals or circumstances, it is time you identify the real culprit, the true thief.  The Bible tells us that the true culprit is the devil:  "For the thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill, and destroy:  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."   John 10:10.  Oppression comes from the devil.  Acts 10:38.  Wiles, fraud, cheating and deception come from the devil.  Ephesians 6:11.  Snares and traps are devised by the devil.  I Timothy 3:6.  Condemnation comes from the devil. I Timothy 3:7.

So you see, your battle is not with flesh and blood:  "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12.  The devil is to blame for the current crime wave you may be experiencing.  Don't be deceived into blaming the circumstances.  The devil uses elaborate diversionary tactics to distract you and keep you from identifying him as the real thief.  Once you identify the thief, you can then haul the thief into the courtroom of heaven, where you will never lose a case!

2.       Haul the Thief Into the Heavenly Courtroom

Did you realize that there is a courtroom in heaven?  Prayer is the means by which you file your case.  In the heavenly courtroom, God Almighty, your Father, is the judge (Ps. 50:6) and Jesus is your personal lawyer.  Hebrews 7:25.  Jesus has already committed to represent you.  He shed His blood so that He can be your personal advocate.  The Bible tells you that you "have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous."  I John 2:1.  Jesus, seated at the right hand of the Father, ever lives to make intercession on our behalf. Romans 8:34.  Specify the wrong committed against you.  Specify the nature of the robbery, based on the Word of God.

3.         The Thief Has Already Been Condemned

In the courtroom in heaven, each case moves at an extraordinarily fast pace.  This is so because God Almighty has already condemned the true thief. You are simply announcing the charges for which the adversary has already been sentenced and condemned.  John 12:31 says "Now is the judgment of this world; now shall the prince of this world be cast out."  Hebrews 2:14-15 [Amplified] tells us, "Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to naught and make of no effect him who had the power of death - that is, the devil - And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives."   John 16:11 tells us "The prince of this world is judged already."   The devil has no defense because he has already been sentenced and condemned.  The case is over even before it begins!  Hallelujah!

4.         Demand the Appropriate Relief

When you take your case against the thief to the courtroom in heaven, you must know the relief you are entitled to receive.  You should be specific, because you will receive according to your faith.  For example, if you simply ask for a level of peace to be restored to your home, that is what you will receive.  You may have a quiet home, but it may be filled with unspoken tension.  It is possible for you to receive what you requested, but not all that you are entitled to receive.

Now, if you request relief below your entitlement, do not envy those who believe to receive the fullness of all that they are entitled to receive.  If you have requested that your home be peaceful, do not be envious when you see other married couples enjoying a very deep, rich and rewarding relationship.  Do not get angry when others go off on romantic weekend getaways while your spouse silently remains in the family room glued to the television.  It's peaceful, isn't it?  If you asked God to just give you enough to get by, do not get angry if you see others prospering financially.  If you prayed to God to receive the ability to just go one day without "your arthritis" acting up, then do not become envious when you see others jogging, bicycling, and walking in health.  If you prayed for God to enable you to complete just one of the reasons for which you were placed here on earth, do not complain when you see other believers implementing their God-given visions.  You receive the relief that you, by faith, request.  James 4:2 tells us that we do not have because we do not ask.

So you see, you really need to know the relief you are entitled to receive.  In Exodus 22:1-9, the Bible tells us that the one whom the judge condemns must pay back the one who was wronged.  Also, in Proverbs 6:31, the Bible says that when you can identify the thief, you are entitled to a seven-fold recompense.  Your Father, Jehovah Gmolah, is the Lord God who recompenses!  He has declared that He will restore comforts to you and recompense you seven times what was stolen from you!

That means you should believe God for a marriage that is seven times better than it was the day you said "I do."  That means you should believe God for a car that is seven times better than the one that was stolen, repossessed, or damaged.  That means you can believe God for a relationship with a relative to turn around and be seven times better than it ever was before.  That means you can believe God for your physical body to be seven times healthier. That means you can believe God to restore your reputation so that it is seven times better than it ever was!  Are you getting this?

You must begin to look for, recognize, and take your restitution.  Begin to look for good things.  Jesus Christ is the High Priest of good things to come!  Hebrews 9:11.   As you begin to see positive changes, however slight, give God praise and thanksgiving for those changes.  By doing so, you are acknowledging before God the fact that you are receiving your restitution.  However, do not become satisfied and complacent with partial restitution; continue to believe God for full seven-fold restoration.

Begin now to identify the true thief.  Stop blaming individuals and circumstances and start blaming the real instrumentality at work behind the scenes.  Go to your Father in prayer with promises from the Word of God.  Pray to your Father in the name of your advocate, Jesus Christ.  Your case will be decided before you say "Amen" because your adversary, the devil, has already been judged.  Make certain you know the relief to which you are entitled.  Then look for, recognize, and receive by faith your seven-fold compensation.

Let today signal the end of the crime wave.  Starting today, begin to experience the seven-fold recompense.
